Bosch FPE-8000-FMR AVENAR Keypad 8000 – Remote Fire Alarm Operating Panel
The Bosch FPE-8000-FMR AVENAR keypad 8000 is a remote operating panel designed for decentralized operation of fire safety systems. It provides a user interface identical to the AVENAR fire panels, allowing operators to monitor alarms, faults, and system events through a clear graphical display.
The keypad supports operation of a specific fire panel or the entire networked system. Its user-friendly interface adapts to different operating situations, enabling clear, intuitive, and targeted control of connected fire protection equipment.
Key features
- Identical user interface to the AVENAR fire alarm panels.
- High-resolution color display for alarm and event indication.
- 8-inch touch pad with six fixed buttons and three programmable function keys.
- 18 icon LEDs for continuous operating status indication.
- Ethernet and CAN interfaces for networking with fire panels, remote keypads, and servers.
- Supports network configurations of up to 32 panel controllers, remote keypads, and servers.
- Suitable for surface or flush wall mounting without additional installation frames.
- Can be used as a redundant panel controller with an AVENAR panel 8000.
- Configurable using Bosch FSP-5000-RPS programming software.
- Supports multiple user languages and up to 200 registered operators.
Remote operation and alarm indication
The AVENAR keypad 8000 displays fire alarms, faults, and other system messages in bright colors. Messages include the message type, triggering element, exact location, and logical zone and sub-address.
The 18 icon LEDs provide continuous status information. Red indicates an alarm, blinking yellow indicates a fault, steady yellow indicates a disabled function, and green indicates proper operation.
Touchscreen and programmable controls
The 8-inch touch pad provides access to six fixed-function buttons and three programmable function keys. Operators with sufficient authorization can configure functions such as day/night mode, detector enable or disable, and sensor sensitivity settings.
The interface also provides an overview of evacuation zones and outputs connected to the fire protection equipment. Authorized operators can initiate evacuation in selected zones and activate connected outputs.
Network connectivity
The keypad can be networked with up to 32 panel controllers, remote keypads, and servers using Ethernet and CAN interfaces. Supported network topologies include CAN loop, Ethernet loop, Ethernet/CAN double loop, and Ethernet backbone with sub-loops.
The four Ethernet ports provide panel networking, building management system connectivity, and remote services according to the prescribed interface usage.
Redundant panel controller function
When combined with an AVENAR panel 8000 and the applicable standard or premium license, the FPE-8000-FMR can function as a redundant panel controller. In this configuration, the keypad is installed adjacent to the main panel and connected using the FPE-8000-CRK cable.
During normal operation, the user interface remains switched off until the main controller fails. The redundant controller function is not available simultaneously with normal remote keypad operation.
Installation and configuration
The keypad is designed for clean installation at highly visible locations. It supports tilted installation and surface or flush wall mounting. Power can be supplied by the fire panel and/or an external FPP-5000 power supply unit.
Configuration is performed using Bosch FSP-5000-RPS programming software, which enables adaptation to project-specific and country-specific requirements.
Applications
The Bosch FPE-8000-FMR is suitable for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, offices, and other fire protection installations requiring decentralized monitoring and operation of a networked fire alarm system.
