An IP Amplifier is a network-based audio amplifier designed for IP public address (PA) and voice alarm systems. Unlike conventional amplifiers, IP amplifiers receive audio signals over an Ethernet network using standard protocols such as SIP, RTP, multicast, or AES67, and amplify the audio to drive passive speakers. This architecture allows centralized control, flexible zoning, and easy system expansion using existing LAN infrastructure.

IP amplifiers are widely used in smart buildings, offices, campuses, factories, hospitals, airports, and transport hubs. They support integration with IP PBX systems, SIP paging microphones, fire alarm systems, and building management systems (BMS). Many IP amplifiers offer features such as PoE support (model dependent), remote monitoring, priority-based paging, and redundancy.

With scalable design and network-based control, IP amplifiers provide a future-ready solution for modern PA installations requiring reliability, flexibility, and efficient audio distribution.
