BOSCH PVA-4CR12 PAVIRO Controller

The BOSCH PVA-4CR12 PAVIRO Controller is the central control and paging manager of the Bosch PAVIRO public address and voice alarm system. Designed for professional PA and emergency sound applications, it provides complete audio processing, routing, supervision, and system control in a compact 2RU rack-mount unit.

The controller supports eight local audio inputs that can be routed to four simultaneous audio outputs, enabling flexible paging and background music distribution. An integrated two-channel message manager allows storage and playback of pre-recorded emergency and non-emergency messages.

A single PVA-4CR12 controller supports up to 12 zones, expandable to 492 paging zones using external zone routers. It can manage up to 100 priority levels, 16 call stations, and log up to 8000 fault, warning, and event messages, ensuring full system supervision and traceability.

With 18 GPIs and 19 GPOs, the controller enables extensive system integration with fire alarm panels, BMS, and other external control systems. One controller can handle up to 2000 W of loudspeaker load, and system scalability is achieved by adding up to 20 routers and 40 power amplifiers (2 × 500 W each).

The front-panel zone status indicators provide clear visual monitoring:

  • Red: Emergency audio active

  • Yellow: Fault detected

  • Off: Zone idle

Multiple controllers can be networked using the Bosch OMNEO IP audio interface, allowing large-scale distributed systems. Certified to EN 54-16, the BOSCH PVA-4CR12 is ideal for airports, metro stations, shopping malls, hospitals, industrial facilities, campuses, and government buildings where life-safety audio systems are required.
